Call for Entries

Eastlake Photo invites photographers working throughout the Pacific Northwest to submit work for Intimate Structures, a group exhibition presented at Slip Gallery in Seattle.

The Pacific Northwest is often photographed as wilderness.

Intimate Structures begins somewhere else.

It considers the region as a lived environment, where memory, labor, architecture, and landscape intersect to shape everyday experience.

We're interested in photographs that examine the intimate relationship between people and place—not as separate subjects, but as inseparable ones. Environmental portraiture, documentary, landscape, architecture, interiors, street photography, still life, and hybrid practices all have a place here. Labels matter less than a photograph with curiosity, honesty, and a genuine sense of place.

Workplaces, neighborhoods, shipyards, skateparks, ferry terminals, public spaces, and the shifting edge between the built and natural world all serve as points of departure.

Intimate Structures seeks work that is thoughtful, formally resolved, and emotionally resonant. We are less interested in spectacle than in images that reveal something essential about the Pacific Northwest and the people who live here.
