Scott Wippermann / Concrete Spaces

Scott Wippermann is a Seattle-based artist and the founder of Eastlake Photo, specializing in fine-art printing, scanning, and artwork reproduction.

For Intimate Structures, he pairs selected black-and-white photographs from his ongoing Everyday Noir series with two new color works mounted on bamboo panels. The photographs, framed in raw steel, explore solitude, familiar urban and rural forms, concrete, and nostalgia.

The color works turn toward the white noise of our surroundings, from the visual clutter of physical spaces to the endless stream of our digital existence. These works, Intimate Structures 1 & 2, consider the anonymity of blending in, and the joy of breaking through the noise.
